With the advent of digital technology, stop-frame animation, which used to be the preserve of the well equipped and extremely patient, is now accessible to all.

We offer introductory workshops in claymation - the technique responsible for Wallace & Gromit, Pingu and Morph - to KS2 children.

Each child uses plasticene, computers and webcams to make his or her own silent animated films which can then be saved to disc and shown on any computer.

We have found that children of all ages and abilities find these workshops extremely rewarding and are often fired up to continue making animated films at school and at home.

If you'd like us to make animations in your school we’ll need some PCs (with CD drives and USB ports) and permission to install a webcam driver. We will provide cameras and free software.

With 10 computers we can work through a class of 30 in a day, but it's much better to use 5 or 6 computers and spend 2 days over it.

Cost: £200 per day

The animations below were made by Year 3 (age 7-8) pupils at Harehills Primary School & Pudsey St Joseph's Primary School.
